Welcome to Urban Woods Bed and Breakfast – an oasis in the city.

We love nothing more than helping our guests experience the best of our unique and wonderful city, Vancouver.

The Area
Nestled in the dense forest of North Vancouver, our location is quiet and serene, yet provides easy access to some of the top attractions of Vancouver; we are:
  • 10 Km away from the cosmopolitan heart of this city of 2.2M people
  • 15 min drive from the ski mountains of North Vancouver; these mountains will host many of the events of the 2010 Winter Olympic games
  • Easy access to the Whistler highway, making Whistler a quick 110Km (approx 1.5 hours) drive from our home
  • Less than 5 min walk from transit routes, which provide direct access to downtown Vancouver (about 30 minutes)
  • Steps away from walking, nature observation, and mountain biking trails
  • Continuous exposure to all-encompasing views of the entire Vancouver region
The area is unique in the city – homes have been skillfully blended with nature to preserve the condition and appearance of original temperate rainforest that thrives in the climate. Towering, Douglas Firs and Hemlock trees surround the houses, providing peace and tranquility that are rare in a large city.

 The Home
 A large, modern Westcoast design provides plenty of space and privacy for everyone. There are large decks and gardens in the front and back, with a thriving creek running right through the front garden. 

Your Hosts
Recently retired, we're a married couple that have been living and working in Vancouver for the past 30 years. Originally from South Africa, we really understand the uniqueness and livability of Vancouver that have ranked it in the top cities globally for quality of life. 
We genuinely love providing hospitality for visitors from all over the earth, getting to know their cultures and habits, and helping them to experience Vancouver to the fullest, according to their unique preferences.
